Jajjal - May 20, 2010

Previous
A team of us went to Jajjal (about 150 kms from Ludhiana) on May 20, 2010. We discussed with the head of the village about our interest in carrying out breast and cervical cancer screening/awareness in his village. Using the funds released to us from Edwina Mountbatten Trust through Friends of Ludhiana (UK), CMCH will be providing free testing for the pap smears and needle biopsies. Jajjal is estimated to have about 500 - 600 women above the age of 35 years who will be encouraged to come for the screening camp.

The Village Head of Jajjal has indicated mid July as the preferred time for his village for this camp. We will be using the school's classrooms as the base camp.
