BCRIC brings together individuals or teams for a common effort in many areas of research and innovation. The principal aim is to advance the centre as a centre for excellence in research and training. This is achieved by:
1. Encouraging research among the undergraduate and post-graduate students, and faculty members.
2. Collaborating on interdisciplinary projects with clinicians, biomedical scientists, agronomists, environmentalists and other disciplines of common interest.
3. Offering support to interested individuals in study design, methodology and in preparing grant applications.
4. Setting up and managing core lab facilities through government funded grant proposals submitted by BCRIC Heads.
5. Organizing and participating in conferences, seminars and workshops which disseminate research findings to the academic community, medical professionals, professional groups and the general public.
